When our oldest daughter Emma was a preschooler, we overheard her tell a friend, “I used to be a vegetarian. Opening weekend in February is always a roll of the dice with the weather. We’ve basked in 70 degree spring-like days, and we’ve been buried under feet of snow. This year, the snowy conditions of opening weekend did not keep our community members from braving the streets to celebrate with us the end of a long, cold, sherbet-free winter.
