Eat Some Food, Help the Park

For many of us, Kimball Park has long been a quiet, shady, and secluded place to have a picnic or take small children on a summer morning. Still, visitors these days can’t help but notice that Kimball could use a little bit of an upgrade.
That’s why our local neighbors have joined the Parks Department to ensure that Kimball is renovated. Plans include expanding the existing playground, added sidewalks, benches, tables, the city’s first pickle ball court, basketball and tennis surfaces, and the Dixon Family Pavilion.
The North Broadway Neighborhood Association has set a goal to raise $33,000 for the shelter, and they are halfway there. To help with their efforts, Christy Creme will be donating 30% of all sales on Tuesday, July 17th to the Kimball Park fund! Can’t make it on the 17th? Email christycreme@centurylink.net to help or donations can be mailed to the PCCF, Kimball Park Fund, at 536 East Broadway in Council Bluffs (51503).
